ABOUT THE FEAST OF ST. LAWRENCE:

The St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood in Old Town Toronto has been a food destination since before this city was established in the 1800s. Today, the area continues this legacy at the world famous St. Lawrence Market and in more than 150 local restaurants and bistros offering cuisine from around the world. With the FEAST OF ST. LAWRENCE, we celebrate our rich and delicious history over 2 days in August beginning with a ticketed outdoor picnic event on Friday night followed by a St. Lawrence Market/Market Street focused event on Saturday.  The festival will be presented by the OLD TOWN TORONTO BIA and funds raised on Friday evening will be directed to Second Harvest.

The OLD TOWN TORONTO BIA (formerly St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood BIA) is a not-for-profit organization whose membership includes every business and commercial property owner in the area. Our mission is to work co-operatively to improve the public realm, promote the neighbourhood and support local business. Established in 1994, the OLD TOWN TORONTO BIA has grown to become one of the largest BIA’s in the city. In addition to launching the new FEAST OF ST. LAWRENCE festival, we have also established several very successful ongoing events including Music in St. James Park, Berczy Beats, I Heart Market Street, the King East Design District Event (KEDD) and Bard in Old Town.  Further information can be found at www.oldtowntoronto.ca.
